Eyebright is a natural herb renowned for its ability to support clear eyes and sinuses by helping to reduce mucus production. Ideal for horses prone to seasonal allergies, its soothing properties provide comfort for irritated eyes.  This versatile herb can be fed as a nutritional supplement or used externally as an eye compress for targeted relief.

How to make an eye compress: gently boil and then simmer a ½ teaspoon of Eyebright in a ½ cup of water. Once cooled, moisten a compress (cotton wool), wring out slightly and place over the eye.
Feed rate (for an average 500kg horse): 20 – 30g per day
N.B – If your horse has insulin-related issues or metabolic conditions, please consult your vet before feeding Eyebright, as certain herbs may not be suitable for horses with insulin sensitivities.
